      
Race For Life - 10th May 2009 Race For Life - 10th May 2009The Race For Life I am sure you are all aware is a nationwide event for a fantastic cause – Cancer Research UK.
Once again this year, a team of the Keytek ladies got together donning their pink items in true spirit and set off for the 5K in and around Poole Park, Dorset.
The Keytek team this year consisted of, Amanda Turner, Holly Keenan, Jill Sutton, Karen Griffiths, Kiri Edwards, Kelly Stanley, Kelly Thornley, Leah Emery, Melanie Butler-Smith, Nicci Pointer, Tegan Champion, Tyra Tutt and Wendy Bush.
The weather was fantastic, sunny, but with a cooling wind coming in off the sea - perfect running conditions. As a result there was an exceptional turn out for the event with friends and family all joining the runners in the Park to cheer them on and offer their support.
All of the Keytek girls finished the race in good times, although there were a few aching limbs the next day!
We say a massive well done to them all, for putting the time and effort into training, getting sponsors and giving up their peaceful Sunday morning all for an amazing cause.
Early indications are that we will smash last years amount raised of £600, we will have an update soon with our Charity Events, so watch this space! |
